USC Begins Indoor Season At Washington Invitational Saturday

LOS ANGELES - The USC track and field team will begin the indoor season at the Washington Invitational at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle, Wash. on Saturday, Jan. 30. The Trojans are sending 18 athletes to Washington which will be the first of five indoor meets that USC is scheduled to compete in this season.
Eight Trojan seniors will be beginning their final track and field season for USC (Shalina Clarke, Myra Hasson, Jasmine Knight, Elizabeth Olear, Judith Onyepunuka, Brysun Stately, Brandon Estrada and Derek Scott), while freshman jumper Alitta Boyd will begin her Trojan career at this meet.
The following is a list of Trojans expected to travel to the Washington Invitational and the events in which they are entered:
Ekene Anene - (Triple Jump), Tamara Baumann (Weight Throw), Cara Bickers - (Long Jump), Alitta Boyd - (Triple Jump, Long Jump), Shalina Clark (60m, 60m HH), Kathryn Daniels (Weight Throw), Brandon Estrada (Pole Vault), Myra Hasson (400m), Elan Hilaire (400m), Jasmine Knight (Pole Vault, 60m), Marissa Minderler (Shot Put, Weight Throw), Dalilah Muhammad (60m, 200m), Elizabeth Olear (400m), Judith Onyepunuka (60m), Aareon Payne (60m, 200m), Derek Scott (Pole Vault) and Oscar Spurlock (60m HH, 60m), Brysun Stately (Pole Vault, 60m).
The remainder of USC's indoor slate of competitions is as follows: Run For The Dream (Fresno State, Feb. 5-6), New Balance College Invite (The Armory, New York, N.Y., Feb. 5-6), Husky Last Chance Qualifier (Washington, March 6), NCAA Championships (Arkansas, March 12-13).
