Baseball Ranked 17th In Preseason Poll

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State baseball team is ranked 17th in the preseason top 25 poll, it was announced on Monday.

Oregon State is one of two teams from the Pacific-10 Conference to be ranked in the top 25, and it is the fourth major poll to have the Beavers ranked. Arizona State is No. 9 in the top 25.

Texas is ranked No. 1 in the poll, followed by second-ranked Virginia. LSU is No. 3, while Cal State Fullerton is fourth and UC Irvine is No. 5.

Last week, it was announced that the Beavers are 14th in the USA Today/ESPN College Coaches Preseason Top 25 poll. OSU is also ranked 10th by Collegiate Baseball and 25th by Baseball America entering the season.

Also on Monday, single-game tickets went on sale. Single-game tickets for the 2010 season are $20 for reserved and $10 for outfield seats located beyond the right-field fence.
