Nickname: Habes

My goals for this season are: To cherish every day I get to step on the field be a part of this team

A moment in my life I will always remember: Signing my letter of intent to attend Stanford

Favorite napping spot: The new locker room

The perfect meal includes: An endless supply of warm bread

My favorite thing about our team is: Our infectious energy

The furthest from home I have ever been is: Sendai City, Japan

The first sport I ever played was: Gymnastics

The person I would most like to meet is: Joe Dassin

Superstitions/pregame rituals: I always get dressed in the same order

When I leave Stanford, I want to: Be a contestant on Survivor

Since coming to Stanford, I have learned: Where my true passions lie

My sports hero growing up was: My dad and Ricky Henderson

My earliest sports memory is: My dad and I playing one on one basketball in the backyard, and him winning every time

I collect: Books

In my off-time, I’m most likely to be found: Reading or napping

Something people would be surprised to know about me: It is one of my life goals to be a published author

The best thing about Stanford is: Getting your writing samples proofread by a Pulitzer Prize winner, who also happens to be your classmate

The biggest thrill of my life to date: Hitting the go-ahead home run to beat Japan at the World Cup

Least Favorite Food: Black licorice

My favorite movie: The Darjeeling Limited

My favorite TV show: Anything on Bravo

Ten years from now I hope to be: Doing something that makes me happy

If I had to cook all of my meals, I’d probably survive on: Chicken stir-fry and rice from my rice maker

Sports teams I followed when I was younger: Oakland A’s and Raiders, San Jose Sharks

The place I’d most like to visit: Thailand

I’m afraid of: Needles

Over the summer, I: Played with Team USA in Canada, The U.S. and Japan

Hidden talent: Recommending good books to read

My favorite place that I ever visited is: Sendai City, Japan

My favorite place on the Stanford campus is: Jimmy V’s

My favorite class at Stanford has been: Fiction Writing

My primary inspiration in sports is: To be the best player I can be, both for my teammates and myself

I’m most thankful for: My family

Best book I have ever read: Animal Farm by George Orwell

My parents were right when they told me: Eat your vegetables

The best advice I ever received was: If you hit, you play

After my Stanford career is over, I’d like to be remembered as: A hard worker and a great teammate

The reason I chose Stanford University is: Coming here was a childhood dream

My favorite thing to do on campus is: Sit and study in the CoHo while drinking a large hot chocolate with a warm cinnamon roll

My funniest teammate is: Sarah Hassman

The sport I am the worst at is: Soccer

My favorite softball memory is: Winning the Newark Bobby Sox 10U League Championship with the Rockies

If I could travel anywhere in the world I would go to: Thailand and Japan

My most embarrassing moment was: Getting picked off of third base my freshman year, right after Coach told me not to

Favorite city: Paris
Stanford softball will be fun to watch this year because: We have a tremendous respect for the game, and will work hard everyday to put our best out on the field
