Men's Golf Completes First Round Of Mauna Lani Invitational

The seventh-ranked men's golf team is in 19th place after the first round of the 20th Annual Mauna Lani Invitational in Waikoloa, Hawaii. The Sun Devils shot a 25-over par 313 on the 6,913 yard, par 72 North Course at Mauna Lani Resort.
Junior Jesper Kennegard ended his day tied for 36th with a 3-over par 75, followed by senior Knut Borsheim, who is tied for 54th after shooting a 5-over par 77. Junior Scott Pinckney, looking for his fourth consecutive top-eight finish, is tied for 77th after scoring a 7-over par 79. Senior Tristan Bierenbroodspot shot a 10-over par 82 and is tied for 103rd, while junior James Byrne carded a 12-over par 84 and sits tied for 113th.
The top five teams in the tournament after the first day are all in the Pac-10, led by UCLA, who is in first place after shooting an even par 288. Oregon is in second, followed by Washington, USC and Stanford.
