No. 13 Trojans Host No. 4 Cal, No. 2 Stanford

The No. 13 USC men's swimming and diving team will host Bay Area rivals No. 4 California at 1 p.m. on Friday (Feb. 5) and No. 2 Stanford on Saturday (Feb. 6) at noon at the McDonald's Swim Stadium on the USC campus. This weekend's meets will conclude USC's dual-meet schedule.
Cal (3-1) features 2009 NCAA champions Nathan Adrian and Damir Dugonjic as well as six other returning All-Americans. Stanford (4-1, 1-1) is led by sophomore freestyle Chad La Tourette, who is among the nation's fastest swimmers this year in the 500y, 1000y and 1650y free while junior David Mosko and sophomore Michael Zoldo are also strong in the middle-to-distance free events. Senior Eugene Godsoe currently has the fastest 100y back in the nation.
The Trojans (7-1) have been led this season by freshman French Olympian Clement Lefert, senior Hungarian Olympian Zoltan Povazsay as well as senior James Martin, sophomore Patrick White and freshman Alex Lendrum.
Lefert owns four NCAA `B' cuts and several times ranked among the fastest in the nation including his 200y (1:34.96) and 500y free (4:19.60), which are both ranked third. His 100y (47.40) and 200y fly (1:44.28) are ranked 10th and fourth, respectively.
Lendrum has four NCAA `B' cuts as well as, coming in the 200y (1:49.07, 23rd fastest in the nation) and 400y IM (3:51.34, 13th) and the 100y (48.71, 28th) and the 200y back (1:45.18, 17th).
Martin, a co-captain with White, has clocked `B' cuts in the 200y (1:49.25) and 400y IM (3:49.23, seventh) and the 200y back (1:46.42). Fellow senior Povazsay owns `B' cuts in the 200y (1:36.55) and the 500y free (4:21.55), ranked 12th and ninth, nationally.
White is also ranked in the 200y (1:36.08) and the 500y free (4:23.63) with `B' cuts that are ninth and 23rd fastest in the nation. Fellow sophomore Josh Joiner has a pair of `B' cuts in the 100y (48.92) and 200y fly (1:46.68, 17th).
Junior Emmett Walling has a `B' cut in the 50y free (20.19), sophomore Jeff Daniels has one in the 100y free (43.94, 15th), sophomore Julian Bonse has one in the 1650y free (15:29.15) and junior Dillon Connolly has one in the 100y breast (54.44), fifth-fastest in the nation.
Men's diving between USC, Cal and Stanford was held last week and results will be included in this week's dual-meet results.
Sophomore diver Harrison Jones, USC's lone returning All-American from last year, was named the Pac-10 Men's Diver of the Month for November. In addition to Jones, Martin, Povazsay, Connolly, junior diver Steven Starks, Joiner and White are all returning NCAA Championships participants.
Starks and Jones are joining USC women's divers Ariel Rittenhouse and Victoria Ishimatsu this week at the USA Diving Winter National Championships and World Cup Trials this week in Columbus, Ohio. Jones will compete in the 3-meter and platform while Starks will compete on platform. Rittenhouse and Ishimatsu will compete in the 3-meter and 3-meter synchro.
