Bruins visit 186th Street School's Super Bowl School Spirit Day 2010

On Friday, February 5, 2010, members of the UCLA football team visited 186th Elementary School to participate in the Fifth Annual Super Bowl School Spirit Day. Members of the Bruin football team have attended this event for the past five years.
Principal, Marsha Reed and her staff coordinated the event and opened up the festivities by have the students recite the 186th Street cheer, song, code and champions creed.
This year junior wide receiver Taylor Embree, senior linebacker Frank Guzman, sophomore defensive back Jeff Dickman, junior offensive tackle Mike Harris and sophomore defensive back Lowell Rose represented the Bruins and encouraged the students to come to school every day ready to learn, respect their teachers, and always be good citizens.
The Bruins led the elementary students in a high-spirited big Bruin 8 Clap and joined the student in fun games and activities. Every child in attendance received a free book and many received autographs.
