Baseball Opener A Week Away

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona baseball team opens its 2010 season exactly one week from today when it hosts Utah Valley at Jerry Kindall Field at Frank Sancet Stadium.


The Wildcats play 26-consectuive home games to open the season and have a total of 41 home games. In addition to the challenging Pac-10 Conference home series, the Wildcats also welcome in some perennial powers in collegiate baseball, including Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State and Wichita State.


However, the Wildcats are keeping focused on the season-opening series next week. Arizona’s first win of the season will mark the 2,500th win all-time for the proud program that has won three national championships. Only six schools have won more all-time games than the Wildcats.
