We've had an exciting last couple of weeks, with our first two 195 scores of the season at home, following a mid-194 at Stanford where we had to count a fall. It feels great to finally be on the right track, hitting routines and events as a team. Now we just need to put all the events together to get that 196! I know we can do it, and our practices have shown that we have the capability to be even better than what we have been in our previous seven meets.
I can't wait for the last home meet of the season. Hopefully we'll improve even more and then be able to take that confidence on the road with us for the rest of the year. We've been focusing in on little details in practice, and while we're still not fully there yet, we have definitely made noticeable improvements. We hope to keep those going, and hopefully my heel will get better quickly so I can get back to top shape!! I wasn't too happy with my performances against Cal, but I was extremely happy to see my teammates pick up the slack of some of my 9.7s so we didn't have to count any horrible scores. That was awesome!
School-wise, everyone just got done with midterms over the last couple weeks and they seem to have gone pretty well! I'm in three business classes this quarter, which is much different than the course-load I've taken the past couple of quarters. Luckily, I have a knack for numbers, so it's still going pretty well! So Mom and Dad, you can still be proud! Haha.
We can't wait to see all of you guys on Friday for our last home meet against Arkansas and SPU! It's going to be some awesome teams competing against each other, and if we do what we know we're capable of, anything can happen on any given night!! Go Dawgs!
