Kevin Parrom Out with Foot Injury

Feb. 25, 2010

BERKELEY, Calif. - University of Arizona men's basketball coach Sean Miller today announced that Kevin Parrom has suffered an injury to his left foot.

Parrom, a 6-foot-6, 205-pound, guard/forward from the Bronx, N.Y., experienced mild pain to his previously injured left foot. The pain is in a different location from the previous injury, but as a precaution, he will not return to participation until the pain subsides. He did not accompany the team this weekend.

All medical tests to this point have been negative, but the UA medical staff wants to ensure a safe and pain-free return to participation.

In 16 appearances to date (nine starts), Parrom has averaged 4.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. He suffered a stress fracture in his left foot in mid-November and missed the first 10 games of the season.

Arizona (13-13 overall, 7-7 Pac-10) faces California tonight in Berkeley at 6 p.m. PST. The contest will be televised by ESPN.
