Women's Golf Prepares For Bruin Wave Inivitational

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The 34th-ranked Washington women's golf team continues its 2010 spring season at the first-ever Bruin Wave Invitational, co-hosted by UCLA and Pepperdine at Robinson Ranch Golf Club in Santa Clarita, Calif.

The Valley Course at Robinson Ranch will play to a par of 72 over 6,282 yards. The tournament runs March 1-3 with tee times beginning on the first and 10th holes at 8 a.m. on the first two days and at 7:30 a.m. on March 3.

Among the teams competing are (GolfStat rankings): No. 1 UCLA, No. 2 Arizona State, No. 6 USC, No. 8 Arizona, No. 9 Pepperdine, No. 13 Stanford, No. 21 New Mexico, No. 33 Oregon, No. 42 UNLV, No. 44 San Francisco, No. 54 San Diego State, No. 81Long Beach State, No. 96 BYU, No. 102 Cal State Northridge, No. 100 Oregon State, No. 105 Washington State and No. 127 New Mexico State.

Coach Mary Lou Mulflur will trot out a lineup of Karinn Dickinson, Anya Alvarez, Sadena Parks, Molly Aronsson and Darcie Richmond. The Huskies are coming off a 14th place finish in the Wildcat Invitational in which Dickinson led the Huskies with a 27th-place finish. Alvarez is the Huskies' top-ranked golfer, 56th in the latest Golfweek.com ratings.
