Stanford Finishes Eighth at USC Invitational

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. - Stanford shot a final round team score of 285 today to finish eighth at the 14-team USC Collegiate Invitational held at the North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, Calif.
Stanford's three-over 54-hole total of 855 came on rounds of 278, 292 and today's 285. The Cardinal finished 24 strokes off the pace set by the red-hot Oregon Ducks, who won the event with a 21-under score of 831, 16 strokes clear of second place California (847).
Oregon's Eugene Wong won the individual title with a 10-under 203 on rounds of 65, 69 and 69, edging USC's T.J. Vogel bu one stroke.
In his first event since the fall of 2008, senior Joseph Bramlett finished tied for 16th with a 54-hole score of 212. He closed with a even par 71 today after rounds of 68 and 73 yesterday.
Freshman Andrew Yun shot a final round 71 to finish tied for 25th at 214.
Junior Steve Ziegler carded a final round 71 to go along with yesterday's rounds of 70 and 74 to finish tied for 31st at 215.
Graham Brockington finished with a 73 today and finished tied with Ziegler at 31st with a two-over 215.
Junior Sihwan Kim tied for 33rd with a three-over 216 (70-74-72).
Freshman Andre DeDecker, playing as an individual, finished tied for 77 with a 17-over 230 (82-77-71).
