Stanford in Sixth Place at Bruin-Wave Invitational

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The 13th-ranked Stanford women's golf team will enter tomorrow's final round of the Bruin-Wave Invitational at Robinson Ranch Golf club in Santa Clarita in sixth place after shooting a second round team score of 295 today.

Stanford's 587 team score after 36 holes leave the Cardinal 11 strokes behind first place UCLA, which is even par after 36 holes at 576.

Junior Rebecca Durham turned in a one-under 71 today after yesterday's two-under round of 70 and finds herself in fourth place, three strokes behind UCLA's Stephanie Kono. Durham had five birdies on her card today but bogied her last three holes coming home.

Freshman Sally Watson is tied for 19th after carding a two-under 70 today. She also had five birdies on her card this morning, but was victimized by a double bogey on the par-4, 15th hole.

Freshman Kristina Wong is tied for 46 after rounds of 76 and 75, while senior Angela King is tied for 44th at 152 (73-79).

Sydney Burlison, playing as an individual, struggled to a 81 today after yesterday's solid 73 and slipped back to 54th place.

Sophomore Lila Barton is tied for 87th at 167 (82-85).

Play concludes tomorrow at Robinson Ranch.
