UCLA Finishes Ninth at North Ranch

The 11th-ranked UCLA men's golf team finished ninth at the USC Invitational at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, Calif.

The Bruins posted a three-round total of 857 (+5) and trailed first place Oregon by 26 shots. The Ducks ran away with the title, firing a final round score of 275 (-9) to finish at 831 (-21). Cal was the runner-up at 847 (-5) and Arizona State was third at 849 (-3).

Sophomore Gregor Main posted a final round score of 73 (+2) and tied for fifth place at 209 (-4). Sophomore Alex Kim tied for eighth place at 219 (-3) following his final round of 74 (+3). Freshman Pontus Widegren tied for 33rd place at 216 (+3), following a final round score of 70 (-1) and freshman Pedro Figueiredo tied for 53rd at 222 (+9) after carding a 74 (+3). Finally, junior Connor Driscoll tied for 71st at 226 (+13) after signing for a 74 (+1) on Tuesday.

Oregon's Eugene Wong won medalist honors with a 54-hole score of 203 (-10).

At the UC Riverside Braveheart event, UCLA freshmen Mario Clemens and Bobby Lange participated. Clemens tied for 47th at 232 (+16) and Lange tied for 59th at 236 (+20).
