Women's Golf is 15th Through 36 Holes at Bruin Wave Invitational

The Oregon State women's golf team battled cold winds during the second round of the Bruin Wave Invitational and the Beavers finished the day in 15th. Brittany Stewart continues to lead OSU with a 3-over par 75 for the second straight day and is tied for 30th overall.

'Brittany had another really good round and stayed steady throughout. If she made a mistake, she bounced back really well on the next hole,' head coach Ris¸ Lakowske said. 'I'm very pleased with Brittany's performance of late.'

The tournament, hosted by UCLA and Pepperdine, is a three-day, 54-hole tournament held at the Robinson Ranch's Valley Course, which is is a par-72, 6,282-yard course.

Tuesday, Lauren Archer shot a 5-over 77 after carding an opening round 79 on Monday. Archer is currently tied for 61st at 12-over (79-77) 156. Elyse Okada, Whitney French and Christy Fogerty added rounds of 79, 80 and 86 respectively.

'We had a lot of good things going and had a lot of good shots today,' Lakowske said. 'One of our goals for this tournament has been to start the round off better ... we've just not finished well. Tomorrow's priority will be focus on starting well and staying focused throughout the entire round.'

Oregon State returns to action Wednesday for their first tee time at 8:24 a.m. for the final round of the Bruin Wave Invitational.
