Stanford Finishes Eighth at Bruin-Wave Invitational

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The Stanford women's golf team carded a final round team score of 298 today and finished in eighth place at the Bruin-Wave Invitational at the Robinson Ranch Golf club in Santa Clarita.

The Cardinal finished +21 for the tournament with a 54-hole team score of 885, 19 strokes behind first place USC (866).

Rebecca Durham, who entered the final round in fourth place, shot a 77 today and slipped back into 13th place with a two-over 54-hole score of 218. She was 10 strokes behind medalist Daniella Kang of Pepperdine, who finished with an eight-under 208 for the event on rounds of 67, 72 and 69.

Freshman Sally Watson tied for 18th with a four-over 220 after shooting a 77 today.

Kristina Wong and Angela King both shot even par scores of 72 in today's final round and finished tied for 18th and 29th, respectively.

Sydney Burlison, playing as an individual, tied for 57th with a 234 after shooting 80 today, while Lila Barton finished tied for 89th with a 35-over 251.

Stanford will next be in action on March 26-28 at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas.
