Box Score

SEATTLE - Talisa Rhea finished with 12 points and Haiden Palmer had 10, but the Oregon State women's basketball team lost to Washington, 67-49, Friday night at Bank of America Arena.

For Rhea, it was her 23rd game this season with 10 or more points and the 60th of her three-year career. She finished the game hitting on three baskets from the field and baskets from the free-throw line.

Palmer, meanwhile, hit double digits for the eighth consecutive game and 17th time overall this season, which is second only to Rhea's team-leading 23.

Palmer was 4-for-11 from the field, and was a perfect 2-for-2 from the charity stripe.

Oregon State connected on 10 assists and made 16 baskets from the floor. Washington, meanwhile, posted 10 assists on 22 makes.

The Huskies shot 47.8 percent from the field, compared to 34 percent for the Beavers.

The Huskies had three players score in double figures, led by Sami Whitcomb, who totaled 14. Kristi Kingma (11 points) and Laura McLellan (12) also finished in double figures.

The loss dropped the Beavers to 9-19 on the year, overall, and 1-16 in Pacific-10 Conference play. The Huskies, meanwhile, improved to 11-16 overall and 6-11 in league games.

Oregon State took a 33-32 lead into halftime, due in large part to shooting 52.4 percent from the field in the first half. Palmer led the Beavers with 10 first-half points, while Rhea was close behind with eight of her own.

Washington shot 44 percent from the field, and did not connect on four three-point attempts. Oregon State was good on one of seven attempts.

The Beavers also went to the free-throw line 14 times in the first half, connecting on 10. That compared to 11 trips to the line for the Huskies, as they made 10.

Washington held a slight, 13-10, advantage in rebounding in the first half. Both teams finished with seven first-half assists, and the points in the paint were pretty equal, with UW up by just two in that category, 14-12.

Whitcomb led Washington with seven first-half points.
