Arizona State's Blaha and USC's Ishimatsu Named Pac-10 Divers of the Month for February

WALNUT CREEK, CALIF. - ARIZONA STATE sophomore Constantin Blaha and USC sophomore Tori Ishimatsu named Pac-10 Divers of the Month for February, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.
Blaha finished out a strong February by nearly winning a medal in all three events at the Pac-10 Diving Championships, earning Men’s Diver of the Meet honors. The Vienna, Austria native finished first in the 3-meter (435.55), second in the 1-meter (404.7) and just being edged out of a top three finish, coming in fourth in the platform (387.2). In the Sun Devils final dual meet of the season against rival Arizona, Blaha won the 1-meter competition and the placed third in the 3-meter.
Ishimatsu was also named the Women’s Diver of the Meet at the Pac-10 Diving Championships, after winning the 1-meter competition with a score of 332.80 and the 3-meter competition with a 381.15. In the 3-meter, the Seal Beach, Calif. native earned a perfect 10 from one judge. To finish out her stellar weekend, Ishimatsu finished fifth in the platform with a score of 258.20.
This is Ishimatsu’s third Pac-10 Women’s Diver of the Meet accolade and second this season. For USC this is their seventh overall honor, tying them for the most all-time with Stanford. On the men’s side, this is Blaha’s first monthly honor and Arizona State’s 11th all-time.
