Cal Baseball Loses, 7-4, at No. 9 Rice
Houston, Texas -- The University of California baseball team was neck-to-neck with No. 9-ranked Rice until the host Owls broke a 4-4 tie with three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning on the way to a 7-4 win in the final game of a four-game series Sunday, March 14 at Reckling Park in Houston. The Golden Bears ended the series, 2-2, with highly-ranked Rice, winning the first two games, 8-6 and 6-4, before falling 26-11 and 7-4 in games three and four.
