USC Women Left Out Of NCAA Tournament

USC carried a five-game winning streak into the 2010 Pac-10 Tournament and reached the semifinals for the second straight season, holding a 19-12 overall record as the 2010 NCAA Tournament bracket was announced on Monday (March 15). Ten teams that the Women of Troy had on their schedule would make it into the postseason tournament field, and despite wins over four of those squads, USC was not granted a berth for this year's NCAA action. USC's last NCAA appearance was in 2006 when USC held an 18-11 record before reaching the NCAA Second Round for the second consecutive season. USC's 12-6 Pac-10 record this season was its best finish since 2004-05, and the Trojans' 19 wins are the most since that 2006 team finished 19-12 after its tournament appearance.

USC's first-year head coach Michael Cooper discussed the result and reflected on the Trojans' season after the announcement:
