Heller Set to Compete at NCAA Championships

CORVALLIS - Oregon State women's swimming sophomore Anna Heller will compete at the 2010 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships March 18-20 at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center in West Lafayette, Ind.
Heller set the Oregon State record in the 100-yard backstroke event at the Pac-10 Championships last month with a time of 53.39 and was promptly invited to participate at the NCAA Championships.
Heller was also invited to compete in the 200 backstroke event after posting a career best 1:57.82 during the Pac-10 Championships. Her time puts her third all-time at Oregon State in the event.
It is the first time in the history of the Oregon State women's swimming program that someone has been invited to compete at the NCAA Championships in a backstroke event.
The 100 backstroke will be held Friday, March 19 and the 200 backstroke will be held Saturday, March 20 with the prelims starting at 8 a.m. PT and the finals starting at 4 p.m. PT each day.
