    PAC-10 NOTES 

    The Wildcats extended their winning streak to three with a 196.175-193.7 victory over No. 24 Minnesota. The team score marked a new season-high for the GymCats. SR Sarah Tomczyk earned her first-career Pac-10 Special Performance of the Week honor after recording a career-high of 9.95 on floor. 

    The Sun Devils (193.625) finished third in their tri-meet behind BYU (195.725) and Boise State (193.3), but JR Mary Atkinson shined as she won the all-around (39.3), floor (9.85) and tied for first on vault (9.875). Atkinson led ASU to its highest vault team score of the season (49.075). 

    FR Madisyn O’Brien, who has been limited by an ankle injury the previous two meets, competed in the all-around and recorded a 38.075, her second highest total for the season.  The Golden Bears (190.650) finished third behind UC Davis (194.600) and TWU (192.825). It was the second-consecutive meet that Cal stayed above the 190 point threshold. 

    Facing a nationally ranked field, the Beavers (196.65) finished second in their quad-meet behind No. 9 Utah (196.975) and ahead of No. 21 Southern Utah (196.025) and No 18 Penn State (195.7). JR Becky Colvin tied a personal best of 9.925 on vault, then tied her career-high on floor with a 9.875. Colvin tied for first on vault and tied for ninth on floor, repsectively. FR Makayla Stambaugh led OSU with an all-around score of 39.375 to place fourth overall. 

    After taking the week off for finals, the Cardinal wrap up its regular season against UC Davis. SR Carly Janiga ranks eighth in the NCAA in bars (9.895) and tied for ninth in the all-around (39.410). Scores are based on the Regional Qualifying Average.  

    SO Vanessa Zamarripa earned her fourth-career Pac-10 Gymnast of the week honors after scroing a career-high 39.7 to win the all-around as the third-ranked Bruins (196.525) defeated Michigian State (195.95) and Cal State Fullerton (193.875). Zamarripa also earned individual victories on bars (9.95), which tied a career high, and beam (9.925). SO Tauny Frattone set a personal best on vault with a 9.95 to tie for first-place with teammate SO Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs. Frattone averages 9.866 on vault and has scored 9.9 or better five times in 11 meets this season. 

    For the second-straight week and the fourth time in five weeks, the Huskies scored a season best, 195.8, but fell to second-ranked Oklahoma (196.9). The GymDawgs tied season highs on three of the four events, recording a 49.025 on floor, a 49.000 on vault and a 49.925 beam. SO Hatsune Akaogi finished second in the all-around with a 38.975.
