Late Inning Rally Helps #1 ASU Sweep Cal State Fullerton 8-6
FULLERTON, Calif. - Top-ranked Arizona State baseball, on the strength of a five-run eighth inning, came from behind to defeat Cal State Fullerton 8-6 and sweep the Titans in a two-game series at Goodwin Field. The Sun Devils improve to 17-0 on the year. Jake Barrett, who recovered from a rough seventh to shut the Titans down in the eighth, improved to 2-0 on the year. Jordan Swagerty threw the ninth to pick up his sixth save of the season. [Read more]

Cal Baseball Loses to Houston, 12-9, in 11 Innings
Berkeley, Calif. -- Down 7-0, the Cal baseball team made an impressive comeback with eight runs in the bottom of seventh inning, but was not able to hold on to the lead, falling 12-9 in 11 innings to visiting Houston Wednesday afternoon at Evans Diamond. The Golden Bears and the Cougars both saw their records go to 9-6. Besides Cal scoring eight runs with two outs in the seventh inning, freshman center fielder Darrel Matthews had a clutch two-out RBI triple in the bottom of the 10th inning to keep the Bears alive, 9-9, going into the 11th inning. [Read more]

Cougar Baseball Rallies Past Dallas Baptist
DALLAS - Derek Jones delivered a three-run double in the top of the ninth inning and Washington State scored four times in the frame to defeat Dallas Baptist 5-2 in nonconference baseball, Wednesday. [Read more]
