Wildcats Start With a Bang
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Arizona jump-started night one of the 2010 NCAA Women's Championships at Purdue by winning the 400 medley relay, its third consecutive year winning the event, and finished tied for 5th place with 106 points.  Ana Agy swam the backstroke leg before Annie Chandler put Arizona in a lead it would never relinquish.  Whitney Lopus held off Stanford's Elaine Breeden and Justine Schluntz swam the anchor as the Cats won in a time of 3:29.76. WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - California sophomore Liv Jensen won the 50-yard freestyle final, and the Golden Bears had major contributions from a variety of swimmers to stand in third place after the first day of the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday at Purdue's Boilermaker Aquatic Center. Sophomore Victoria Ishimatsu became an All-American on 1-meter for the second year in a row while USC's 400y medley relay also earned All-American honors with a sixth-place finish to highlight the No. 9 USC women's swimming and diving team on the first day of the 2010 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind., on Thursday (March 18). Ahlin Finishes First Day of NCAA Championships
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Michaela Ahlin finished her first event at the 2010 NCAA Swimming championships Thursday, March 18 at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center. The senior from Tyreso, Sweden finished 62nd in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:56.25. [Read More]
