WSU Women to Travel to the Desert

What's Happening This Week: The Washington State women's golf team will travel to Tuscan, Ariz., to play in the 12th Annual MountainView Collegiate Invitational hosted by Colorado, March 26-27, at the MountainView Golf Club. The 18-team field will play 36 holes the first day and 18 the final day of the tournament, with tee times starting at 7:30 a.m., Friday.

The Course: MountainView Golf Club, a par 72, will play at 6,126 yards for the event.

The Field: The 18-school field includes Baylor, Boise State, BYU, Colorado, Colorado State, Gonzaga, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas State, Michigan, Missouri, Northern Arizona, Sacramento State, San Jose State, Texas Tech, UNLV and Wisconsin.

Traveling for WSU: This week's lineup will include redshirt junior Allison Travis, sophomore Kristen Allard and freshmen Ali Thompson, Emma Betland and Ellen Park.

Last Time Out: The team finished 15th at the UNLV Spring Invitational, improving each day of the tournament. The Cougars were led by sophomore Kristen Allard, who arguably had the best tournament of her career. Her three-round total of 222 (+6) was the lowest of her career and the second-lowest on the season by a Cougar. Allard finished in a tie for 17th, making it her third top-25 finish on the season and the sixth of her career.
