Bruins Host NFL Scouts for Pro Day

UCLA hosted representatives from over 25 NFL teams on Tuesday for the annual on-campus Pro Day. After being measured, the scouts put the players through a series of jumps and lifts in Pauley Pavilion to get the day started. The action then shifted outside to the Spaulding Field practice area where timing, throwing and agility tests were held.

Bruin hopefuls Terrence Austin (wr), Korey Bosworth (de), Kyle Bosworth (lb), Reggie Carter (lb), Nick Ekbatani (ol), Chane Moline (fb), Ryan Moya (te), Logan Paulsen (te), Jerzy Siewierski (dl), and Trevor Theriot (fb) went through all the drills on the field. Alterraun Verner (db) and Brian Price (dl) took part in selected drills for the scouts.

A group of former Bruins also were on hand for workouts, including: Rodney Van (db), Dennis Keyes (db), Ben Olson (qb), Tab Perry (wr), Kai Oredugba (db) and Ryen Carew (rb). The 2010 NFL draft is set to begin on Apr. 22nd.

Coach Rick Neuheisel's squad will kick off preparations for the 2010 season on Thursday, when it begins Spring Football practice on Spaulding Field. The opening session is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and is open to the public.The Bruins will wrap up Spring with the annual game at the Rose Bowl at 7 p.m. on Apr. 24.
