Oregon State opens Pacific-10 Conference play Thursday at USC. First pitch Thursday is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT. The series will be held at Dedeaux Field in Los Angeles.

Rob Folsom went 2-for-4 with a double and a triple but the Beavers dropped an 8-4 decision to Long Beach State in the second game of a doubleheader Saturday. The Dirtbags won game one of the doubleheader, 7-1. Adalberto Santos went 2-for-5 for the Beavers, who saw their 10-game win streak snapped in the first game. It had been OSU's longest win streak since 2007.
End Of The Homestand
Oregon State finished its 11-game homestand with a 9-2 record. As a team, the Beavers batted .302 and hit 11 home runs, posting a .478 slugging percentage. The pitching staff had an ERA of 3.64 and opponents batted .239 against Oregon State.
Santos' Second Streak
Adalberto Santos is currently on a five-game hit streak, becoming the first OSU player to have two such streaks this season. On the current streak, he is batting .352 (6-for-17).
