REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - The Oregon State women's rowing team concluded competition at the Pac-10 Challenge Sunday, winning three-of-12 races against nationally-ranked squads during the course of the weekend.

Going against a handful of the best teams in the country, the varsity 8+ boat held tough but the Beavers were unable to post a victory on the weekend. On Saturday, Oregon State dropped close races to Wisconsin and Cal before losing to defending national champion Stanford on Sunday.

On Saturday, the varsity 4+ clenched a one-second win against Iowa but fell just short when facing Cal and Stanford on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, respectively.

The novice 8+ came away with a 12.8-second win on Saturday morning against UC Davis.

Oregon State will return in two weeks, hosting UCLA at Dexter Lake, Ore. on Saturday, April 17.
