Cats Tee off in Wyoming Cowboy Classic

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Four individuals from the Arizona men's golf team entered the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, a 24 team event held in Scottsdale, Ariz.; the Cats did not enter the event as a team.

Stefan Cox is tied for 24th in two round event after shooting even par on day one. Tom Conran is tied for 91st in the field of 130. Peter Ireland shot a 76 (+6) and is tied for 97th. Miles Thorson is in 130th.

At five-under, UC Santa Barbara leads the tournament by four strokes over Oklahoma and Colorado which are tied for second. Taylor Coffman of Nevada leads the tournament at five-under, five strokes better than Conran.

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes being played tomorrow.

The Wyoming Cowboy Classic is contested at the Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., a par 70, 7,133 yard course.
