AUGUSTA, Ga. – UA Alumni Jim Furyk, Rory Sabbatini and Ricky Barnes will compete in the Masters this Thursday, April 8, through Sunday, April 11, at Augusta National in Augusta, Ga.

Each will try to become the first former Wildcat to win the Green Jacket.

Angel Cabrera won the tournament last year as Jim Furyk posted a Top-10 finish. They will be paired together for the first two rounds along with Byeong-Hun An. They will tee-off at 10:24 a.m. EST Thursday in the 14th group of the day. The three have a 1:31 p.m. tee time on Friday.

Furyk has recorded four top-25 finishes in six events this season including a win in the Transitions Championship, the 14th PGA victory of his career.

Furyk’s top finish in the tournament was fourth in 2003 and 1998, but a more impressive statistic is the 13 cuts he has made in 14 tries at the Masters.

Rory Sabbatini, who tied for second in the 2007 Masters, will tee off at 8:45 a.m. EST Thursday and 11:52 a.m. Friday along with Mark O’Meara and Nathan Smith.

Ricky Barnes will tee off in the Masters for just the second time, and he will have brother and Arizona Assistant Coach Andy Barnes on the bag all weekend. Andy was Ricky’s caddie during his second place finish in the 2009 U.S. Open and his victory in the 2002 U.S. Amateur.

Barnes will tee-off against Adam Scott and David Duval. Barnes’ lone Masters appearance was a 21st place showing in 2003 as an amateur.
