No. 7 Stanford Cruises Past No. 22 Washington 6-1

STANFORD, Calif.- No. 7 Stanford continued its homestand with another victory, cruising past No. 22 Washington 6-1 on Friday afternoon at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

The Cardinal is now 14-5 and 3-1 in Pac-10 play, while Washington is 16-4 and 1-3 in league action.

Stanford swept all three doubles matches to claim a 1-0 lead.

The Cardinal followed with five singles victories, including three in a row to clinch the match at 4-0. Ryan Thacher secured the victory with a 6-2, 7-6 (4) decision over Kyle McMorrow on court two.

Washington received its only point of the match at the No. 4 spot, with Martin Kildahl outlasting Denis Lin 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (13-11).

Stanford is back in action on Saturday, Apr. 10, against No. 72 Oregon at 1 p.m.
