April 11, 2010

The California baseball team (20-10, 6-3) won its eighth straight game and completed its second straight Pac-10 sweep as the Golden Bears defeated USC, 4-3, Sunday, April 11 at Dedeaux Field. Led by solid start from sophomore right-hander Dixon Anderson and exceptional relief pitching from sophomore Matt Flemer, Cal swept the Trojans for the first time in Los Angeles since the Pac-10 went to a three-game format in 1972. Junior second baseman Brian Guinn went 3-for-4 and had the eventual game-winning RBI in the sixth inning.
