Cal Co-Hosts Lake Natoma Invite This Week
No. 2 California women's crew will co-host the Lake Natoma Invitational with Sacramento State for the second time from April 17 and 18, at Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif. Along with the Golden Bears, this weekend's field includes co-host Sacramento State, No. 3 Stanford, No. 11 Wisconsin, No. 14 Washington State, No. 19 Tennessee, Louisville, Minnesota and Texas. The cross regional competition will play an important role for selection to the NCAA Championships.
'This event has quickly become one of the more important races on the spring calendar,' head coach Dave O'Neill said. 'Since there are so many quality teams participating, a lot people across the country will be interested in the results. That said, the Cal women need to be ready for some fast racing against some tough, well-coached crews.'
The Saturday and Sunday morning sessions begins at 8 a.m. with the Saturday afternoon session starting at 3 p.m. Fans can follow up to the minute, unofficial results from the regatta by clicking here.
