Stanford, Calif. - The Stanford track and field teams will be back in action this weekend at a pair of meets. One group will head to Southern California to compete in the Mt. SAC Relays, while a group of throwers will head to the Woody Wilson Invitational in Davis, Calif.

The men's distance runners will highlight the group heading to Mt. SAC with All-Americans Chris Derrick and Elliott Heath expected to participate. Derrick ran his first race of the track season last weekend at the Big Meet when he won the 3,000 meters. Heath is coming off an All-America indoor season in the 3K.

In addition to the distance group, a pair of pole vaulters are entered. Top female Katerina Stefanidi and top male Casey Roche will look to battle for the title at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays.

Further north a group of throwers will head to the Woody Wilson Invitational at Davis. Former NCAA qualifier Jaynie Goodbody should compete in the hammer, while Geoffrey Tabor and Carter Wells will look for the marks to qualify to postseason this year.
