WALNUT, Calif. - University of Colorado freshman Elizabeth Tremblay led the Buffs on Friday at the Mt. SAC Relays with a 12th-place finish in the 800-meter run.
Tremblay recorded a personal best of 2 minutes, 11.25 seconds and finished second in the third section of the university/open division. Idaho's Lauren Schaffer won the heat in 2:08.73. Tremblay just edged out Marquette's Sarah Verdoliva (2:11.47) and Seattle Pacific's Lisa Anderberg (2:11.76) at the finish.
In the field Kaity Kark and Patrick Bachman recorded 13th-place finishes, both in the discus. Kark recorded her best throw of 148 feet, 7 inches with her first throw of the afternoon. Bachmann threw the discus 157-09 in his first throw. Kark also took 14th in the shot put (41-00.50).
Brianne Beemer ran her fastest 400-meter hurdle time at 1:01.23 and placed 16th overall. Kenyon Neuman PR'd in the 1,500 when he ran 3:49.39. He was eighth in the top section and finished 16th overall.
The Buffs will wrap up action at the Mt. SAC Relays late tonight in the 5,000-meter run.
