No. 3 Stanford Women Compete This Weekend At Lake Natoma Invitational

STANFORD, Calif. - The third-ranked Stanford women's rowing team will return to the water this weekend at the Lake Natoma Invitational at Gold River, competing against eight other schools in a regatta scored in the NCAA Championship style.
The scoring events in this weekend's event will be the I and II Eights and the Four. In the Fours races, order of finish for the top three boats will be scored in 3-2-1 format. For the II Eight class, the top three boats will be scored 6-4-2, and the I Eights will be scored in a 9-6-3 format.
Stanford will also be one of five schools that will have its Frosh Eight boat in competition.
Stanford will open up the Saturday morning session against Wisconsin and Texas, as the Fours will lead off at 8:40 a.m., followed by the II Eights at 9:10 a.m. and the I Eights at 9:40 a.m. The Cardinal Frosh Eight will take to the water at 10:10 a.m. against California's first boat and Sacramento State.
In the afternoon, the Cardinal boats will matchup against Louisville and Minnesota, with races set for 3:10 p.m. (Fours), 3:40 p.m. (II Eights) and 3:40 p.m. (I Eights).
On Sunday morning, the Frosh Eight petite and Grand Finals will start things off at 8 and 8:10 a.m.
Fours races will get underway at 8:20 a.m., while II Eight races open up at 8:50 a.m. and the I Eight gets going at 9:20 a.m. Boats will be placed in the various races within their class based on Saturday's results.
