GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Stanford scored 48.925 on the floor exercise during its first rotation at the NCAA Championships on Thursday.

The Cardinal needs to finish among the top three teams of its six-team Session II of the team preliminaries to advance to Friday's Super Six finals.

The Cardinal got high scores from Carly Janiga (9.875) and Shelley Alexander (9.85). Ashley Morgan, at No. 3 in the lineup produced a solid 9.80 after a teammate fell, and got Stanford back on track.

With four teams performing in the opening rotation, Stanford stands third, behind Alabama (49.325, vault) and Arkansas (49.125, bars), and ahead of Michigan (48.450, beam), with Florida and Missouri yet to begin.

In the first session, UCLA (196.875), Utah (196.625), and Oklahoma (196.550) advanced to the Super Six. Nebraska (196.175), Oregon State (196.050), and LSU (196.025) did not.
