Tennis Wraps Up Competition at Pac-10 Tournament

OJAI, Calif. - The Washington State University women's tennis team wrapped up competition at the Pacific-10 Tournament, Friday. Elisabeth Fournier lost in the quarterfinal round of singles play, and all three doubles duos fell in the first round.

Fournier's run at a Pac-10 championship was stopped by No. 17 nationally-ranked Marina Cossou of Cal. Fournier took Cossou to three sets, but couldn't capture the victory. The loss was only Fournier's ninth of the season.

In the Championship Flight of doubles play, Fournier and Liudmila Vasilieva fell to UCLA's nationally-ranked pair of Andrea Remynse and Yasmin Schnack, 8-1.

In the Invitational Flight, Sarah Lansdman and Natalia Toporowska of Arizona defeated Ksenia Googe and Andjela Kankaras, 8-2. Marina Nicolas and Lea Jansen lost to Nelly Radeva and Stephany Chang of Cal, 8-4.
