Quinn & Taylor Highlight Men's Track & Field At UCSD Triton Invite

Johnny Quinn and Bo Taylor highlighted a small group of competitors for the men's track and field team on Saturday in La Jolla at the UCSD Triton Invite. Quinn won the pole vault competition with a solid mark of 17-2.75,while Taylor threw a season-best 182-8 to finish 10th overall.

Thomas Nagengast threw a lifetime-best 176-8 in the discus to finish just behind Taylor in 11th-place. Nagengast also threw a season-best 153-10 in the hammer to finish 20th overall.

In other throwing events, Nigel Davies finished 13th in the shot put (51-6.50) and Trent Perez was 14th in the javelin (143-3).

In the pole vault behind Quinn's win, Casey DiCesare finished in a tie for fourth with a mark of 16-8.75. Brennan Turner, Soctt DiCesare and Eric White each tied for ninth with equal clearances of 15-9.

The Bruins return home on Saturday May 1st for the crosstown dual meet with the Trojans. That meet marks the end of the regular season.
