Final Day Of Pac-10 Championships Nets Runner-Up Finishes For Barte

OJAI, Calif.- Stanford concluded the final day of competition at the Pac-10 Championships on Sunday, with Hilary Barte posting runner-up finishes in both singles and doubles.
Barte was defeated by UCLA's Yasmin Schnack 6-4, 7-5 in the singles final. She entered the contest having notched a 3-0 mark this year against Schnack, securing wins in both dual matches along with a 7-5, 6-3 triumph at the ITA All-American Championships in her first match of the season back in October.
In the doubles final, Barte and Lindsay Burdette dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision to UCLA's Schnack and Andrea Remynse. Stanford's top doubles team entered the afternoon with a 3-1 record this season against the UCLA tandem.
Stanford is idle for the next two weeks, awaiting the start of NCAA Tournament play on May 14-16.
