Stanford Takes On San Jose State Tuesday Night

STANFORD, Calif. -- The No. 10/11 Stanford softball team (30-12, 4-8 Pac-10) hosts San Jose State (30-18, 6-9 WAC), Tuesday, Apr. 27. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. from Smith Family Stadium.

The Cardinal is looking to turn things around after being swept by Pac-10 foe UCLA last weekend at Smith Family Stadium. Tuesday's game marks the first of Stanford's final eight home games of the season. The Cardinal will also travel to Seattle to take on the nation's top-ranked team, Washington, for a three-game series, May 9-11.

Senior Alissa Haber is currently second in the Pac-10, hitting .450 with 58 hits on the season. The Newark, Calif., native also ranks in the top-10 in slugging percentage (.690, 10th), on-base percentage (.541, 5th), runs scored (41, 9th) and doubles (12, t4th).

Sophomore Ashley Hansen is leading the league with 15 doubles, while sophomore Sarah Hassman's 18 stolen bases ranks fifth in the Pac-10.

The Cardinal will continue Pac-10 play at home this weekend as it welcomes the Arizona State Sun Devils (37-10, 6-6 Pac-10). The first game of the three-game series is schedule for 7 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 30. Game two is Saturday at 1 p.m. on May 1, while the finale is slated for Noon on Sunday, May 2.
