No. 18 Cal Baseball Wins, 7-3, at Sacramento State
SACRAMENTO, CALIF. -  The No. 18-ranked (Collegiate Baseball, 21st in Baseball America) Cal baseball team scored five runs in the first three innings and cruised to a 7-3 victory Tuesday (May 4) at Sacramento State's Hornet Field. The Golden Bears (27-15) won their fourth game in a row after a four-run third inning gave them a 5-0 lead. Junior second baseman Brian Guinn led Cal with three hits, including a double, and sophomore shortstop Marcus Semien was 2-for-4 with two RBI. [Read more]

Cardinal Homers Past Spartans 10-7

IRVINE, Calif. - Ricky Oropesa's two-run homer to center snapped a 6-6 tie in the ninth Tuesday as the USC Trojans beat the UC Irvine Anteaters, 8-6, in a non-conference game at Anteater Ballpark.
