May 6, 2010

Corvallis, Ore. Senior Kelly Dyer (Eugene, Ore.) earned second team CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 honors, announced Thursday, for softball. This is Dyer’s second consecutive honor after earning the first honor since 2007 for the Beavers.

She is also a recipient of 2009 Waldo-Cummings Outstanding Student Senior Honorable Mention accolades. She currently is tied for fourth all-time for career saves with eight and is fifth all-time for career strikeouts with 373. Dyer is also ninth all-time for career wins with 37 and tied for eighth for career complete game shutouts with nine.

She earned the Beavers’ only Pac-10 All-Academic First Team honors for the past two seasons. This year’s selections have not been released yet.
