Seven UCLA Tennis Players Selected for NCAA Individual Tourney

LOS ANGELES - A total of seven UCLA tennis players have been selected to compete individually in the upcoming NCAA Tennis Championships, May 26-31 in Athens, Ga.

Bruin men's tennis players Haythem Abid and Matt Brooklyn both received at-large selections to compete in the 64-player singles draw. In addition, Amit Inbar and Nick Meister will team together as an at-large selection in the 32-team doubles draw.

On the women's side, Yasmin Schnack, Andrea Remynse and Noelle Hickey will all represent UCLA in singles. Schnack is the No. 6 seed in that draw. Remynse and Schnack will also compete together in the doubles draw. The duo is seeded fourth.

The individual portion of the NCAA Tournament takes place following the team competition, which runs from May 20-25. Draws for the tournament will be finalized that week. More information about the 2010 NCAA Championships can be found by clicking HERE.
