Swimming Signs Two More Student-Athletes To National Letters-Of-Intent

Head swim coach Cyndi Gallagher has announced the signing of two additional student-athletes to National Letters-of-Intent. Kylie Garcia and Anna Senko will join an already solid recruiting class this fall.
Garcia hails from Rowland HS and swims for Monrovia Aquatics under coach Jim Lopez. She also swam for IHAC and RMDA. Her best events include the 100/200 fly, 50 free and 100 back. While at Rowland HS, Garcia was the 2010 League MVP, an All-American, Freshman of the Year in 2006, the MVP for her high school team and the CIF runner-up in 2008.
With her club team, Garcia has been a 2008 Olympic Trials qualifier, was ranked amongst the top five in the nation for the 100 fly short course, a Grand Prix finalist, Sectional finalist, and competed at Junior and Senior Nationals.
Senko hails from Winchester, MA and swims for Bluefish Swim Club under coach Chuck Batchelor. She is a Scholastic All-American with 4.0 honors and a three-time member of the Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic Teams. In 2009, Senko placed 13th in the 200m backstroke. She won the Massachusetts Div. II state title in the 500 free. She also served as team captain for her school, was a four-time MVP and set six school records.
Also joining this duo next fall are are Lauren Baker, Jessica Bergman, Cynthia Fascella, Paulina Guzman, Haley McNamara, Kathryn Murphy and Emily Weir
