Men's Rowing Takes Fourth at Pac-10 Championships

May 16, 2010

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Oregon State men’s rowing team took home fourth place at the Pac-10 Conference Championships on Sunday.

The Beavers brought their freshman, second varsity, and varsity crews to this weekend’s races. Each crew placed fourth in their respective race, securing the fourth place spot overall in the Pac-10.

Their placement put them behind first-place Washington, second-place California, and third-place Stanford. The Beavers beat out Washington State, USC, UCLA, and Oregon.

“The results, overall, are not what we are looking for, but all three crews have made progress,” said head coach Steve Todd. “The Pac-10, and especially Washington, are exceptional crews. We learned how to fight a little harder for a little longer today, and that’s what this young crew needs.”

The Beavers will find out if they will be part of the IRA tournament this Tuesday.
