BERKELEY -  The No. 25-ranked Cal baseball team was able to tie the game, 1-1, in the fourth inning on sophomore catcher Chadd Krist's sacrifice fly, but then yielded five runs in the last four innings and fell, 6-1, to San Francisco Tuesday (May 18) at Evans Diamond. Oropesa Cranks Walk-off Homer In 9-8 Win Over New Mexico State
LOS ANGELES - Sophomore third baseman Ricky Oropesa (Rancho Cucamonga/Etiwanda HS) led off the bottom of the 11th inning Tuesday with his 15th home run of the season as his solo shot gave the USC Trojans a 9-8 win victory over the New Mexico State Aggies. Oropesa, who had struck out his previous four times in a row, belted an 0-1 pitch from reliever Jared Jordan for the game winner. [Read more]
