AUSTIN, Texas - Oregon State sophomore Casey Masterson advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals in the 1,500-meters with a personal best time of 4:24.98 at the NCAA Division I Track And Field West Regional in Austin, Texas Thursday.

Oregon State 1,500-meters record holder Laura Carlyle fell short of qualifying when she finished 10th in her heat with a time of 4:35.78 which is over 10 seconds off of her record time from earlier this season.
'I know she was disappointed with her time today but she has had a great season,' Sullivan said. 'It's always frustrating when your last performance is not your best but she set the school record this season and improved on it a couple times as well.'
