USC Wins 10-5 To Even Series With Washington

LOS ANGELES - Adam Landecker and Alex Glenn had three RBI each Saturday as the USC Trojans evened its Pac-10 Conference series in a 10-5 win over the Washington Huskies. The Trojans took advantage of a Washington pitching staff that gave up four runs with the bases loaded on two walks and two hit batters.
Chad Smith threw 1 2/3 no-hit innings in relief to pick up the win for USC (27-32, 6-20). Shuhei Fujiya got his second save with two scoreless innings while Keith Castillo was 2-for-4 at the plate with a home run.
Jacob Lamb hit an RBI double in the first for Washington (28-27, 11-15), but the Trojans scored three in the bottom of the first when starter Andrew Kittredge hit two Trojan batters with the bases loaded to force in two of the runs. USC held at 4-3 lead in the sixth before the Trojans added three more runs. Joe De Pinto hit a sacrifice fly to score Cade Kreuter and with the bases loaded, Ben Guidos walked Beau Brett and Landecker to make it a 7-3 Trojan lead.
Castillo hit his fourth of the season with the solo shot in the eighth, followed by Glenn's two-run blast to right for his second on the year.
