Cal Advances Five boats to Friday Semifinals at IRA Regatta
CAMDEN, N.J. - California qualified all five boats for Friday's semifinal rounds at the opening day of the 108th annual IRA Regatta on Thursday on Cooper River. The Golden Bears' varsity 8+ advanced out of the first heat with the second-best time (5:31.94) to defeat five teams, including second-place Yale (5:33.98). Cal's second varsity 8+ and novice 8+ boats also won their respective heats. The Bears' other boats - the varsity 4+ and the open 4+ - each placed second in their heats. [Read More]
