USC Has 28 Student-Athletes Named To Pac-10 All-Academic Team

The USC track and field team had 28 members named to the 2010 Pac-10 All-Academic team it was announced today (June 7). The USC men's team had 12 athletes selected led by first-team selections Benjamin Brown, John Carley and Taylor Slingsby, while the women's team had 16 named, including first-teamers Cara Bickers, Katherine Ellis, Zara Lukens and Allison Rojewski.
Brown is a senior who majored in Communications & Journalism with a 3.63 GPA, Slingsby a junior History major with a 3.77 GPA, Slingsby a junior Business, Management, Marketing and Related Services major with a 3.75 GPA, Bickers a Biological and Biomedical Sciences major with a 3.86 GPA, Ellis a senior majored in Engineering with a 3.91 GPA, Lukens a junior Social Sciences major with a 3.95 GPA and Rojewski a junior Biological Sciences major with a 3.90 GPA.
Named to the Pac-10 All-Academic second team were David Branch (Public Administration & Social Welfare), Colin Campbell (Health Professions and Related Programs), Putchong Dispanurat (Business, Management, Marketing & Related Services), Matt Huntington (Visual and Performing Arts) and Bridget Helgerson (Business, Management, Marketing & Related Services).
Trojans named to the Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention team were Ekene Anene, Jacob Aronson, Candace Bailey, Tamara Baumann, Kristine Busa, Courtney Clayton, Kathryn Daniels, Dina Kitayama, Jessica Lundin, Elizabeth Olear, Judith Onyepunuka, Jason Price, Devon Rennie, Derek Scott, Blake Shaw and Manjula Wijesekara.
The women's track and field team had the highest GPA by a USC spring semester women's team, while the women's cross country team claimed that honor in the fall semester.
